 Grass Mix

sorghum sudan, pearl millet, proso millet, German millet
Grower Notes: The grass mix looked good early and had decent
growth for grazing but lacked diversity. This blend would not
produce any nitrogen and the C:N ratio would be quite high and might even
tie up nitrogen to break down. Adding brassicas to the mix would lower
this ratio. Also, a grass only mix will all die after a hard freeze
and not take advantage of the after-frost growing season like lentils, vetch
and brassicas would. |
